Running backs will be the most important because generally you need two, so there are more quality QB's to go around. WR's are just way to unreliable week to week unless you have one of the very very best one or two.

The average quarterback collects more points than the average running back, but there are a handful (literally about 5-8) of running backs that are exceptionally better than the average quarterback. After you look past the top 10 running backs, the value of the remaining players starts to decline rapidly. This is why running backs get picked more than any other position in the first two rounds.

However, with quarterbacks, only about 5-8 are considered not worth starting. There are more quarterbacks worth drafting than running backs, so to answer your question, QB's get more points, but RB's are far more valuable.

Week to week you never know. At the end of the season generally its been RB's. Every now and then you get a QB leading the leaugue. Then WR. Defense can scor ea lot but only 1 or 2 are up there and its hard to know from year to year which two they are going to be.
This year in most of the leaugues I was in the trend was RB, QB and surprisingly Defense.

even unexperienced players know that RB are the most important and generally will get you the most points, which is why RBs are the highest on draft boards. so when you draft, probably 8 out of the 10 or so teams will draft a RB in the first round and some will even draft running backs in the first two rounds. after that, probably qb will get you the second most points.

either running back or QB. I know my WR never got over 25 points at best but averaged in the teens. . defenses can gets some good points if you have a good team.
