I am 18 years old, and I have been having my period 4 weeks apart since was about 11 years old. Today I started bleeding, which is extreamly abnormal for me. I am on birth control pills that I take every night, but for the past 2 nights I had forgotten to take them. I am sexually active. Starting about a week ago up until about 2 or 3 days ago, I had been vomitting and not feeling myself. Everything I have read online states that this is early signs of pregnancy. Is this true? Also, should get a pregnancy detector from the store? would it work? and what brand is the best to get? Any and all help is much appriciated. Thanks

If your period came, you aren't pregnant. If you need more information, go see your doctor. That's all I can say to help.

You've messed up the hormonal balance by skipping those pills! If you're missing pills and trying to play 'catch up'...taking two or three a day... THAT'S why you're sick. If you are really worried, I'd buy an over the counter pregnancy test just to ease your mind, but...the pill itself can GIVE you morning sickness symptoms, especially if you're not consistant, or if you've just started taking them...or just switched to a new type. I have a feeling that's what you're going through.

Also, if you think you may be pregnant, you should stop taking the pill and make a doctor's appointment. If you find that you're NOT pregnant, then you can start taking your pills again on the Sunday after your period (or whatever day you're supposed to start them according to the prescription). Until you've taken them for as long as your doctor recommends for full affect, USE CONDOMS! You can't be too careful. Good luck!

The pill caused this, you are not pregnant, stop stressing you will feel better. The pill is unhealthy.

Sometimes if you forget to take your pills ...it will bring on your period and sometimes it is just stress. You are best to consult your physician though if you have any more concerns.
