Happy New Year all. Does anyone think that we will ever gain the technology to accel in outer space travel like old tv shows? and if we did, would any of you want to explore outer space?

I'm sorry to have to say that your question is unintelligible. The problem is the mysterious word, "accel." What does this word mean? It could be an abbreviation for the word "accelerate," which, in turn, might make the question mean, "Will space technology development take place at a faster rate?"
On the other hand, you might mean "excel," in which case the question means "Will we exceed expectations or the typical performance in the development of space technology?"
Your reference to "old TV shows" I suppose means that you are asking if we will travel faster than light, generate artificial gravity, transport to planets and other spacecraft by teleportation, colonize other planets, trade with alien species, and other TV experiences of that kind.
In that case, the answer is "no." Those things are possible on TV where special effects can be created. None of them is possible in real life, nor ever will be.

What does "accel" mean?
Yes we will travel to the outer space, but not faster than light and not to the hyperspace. They are just science fiction.
Why to do so? Well, exploration is part of the human nature, otherwise we would be still jumping between trees right now.

Traveling to outer space has appeal to many people including myself. I know it will never happen.
Societies piling into space ships to escape global disasters is pure science fiction.
Men traveling to close planets,is worth while and will continue.
Sending out robots and probes will probably continue, with good results but family outings to other planets will never come about.
Interstellar travel never will be possible.. Its good to speculate on and think about which I often do. Happy new year.

Speed is not important to space travel. The control of gravity and mass is. You can travel further distances in shorter times and be more efficent at only 20,000mh than you are at 200,000mph if you can control mass/gravity.
By creating a massive object you can literally bring your desination closer to you so you won't have to travel as fast. I just think it would be technologly easier to create mass with giant particle accelerators than it is to create spacecraft with exotic engines that guzzle fuel.

its a nice question on this new year eve. i am quite interested in astronomy as you seem to be.we have succedded landing on moon. in few years I expect NASA & ESA to develop a technique
to go to ET (extra terrestrial )world. and in few decades if God wants we will be having friendly relations with aliens.
