I know the exposition in a story is like background information and stuff but in the book A Tree Grows In Brooklyn would it things about where Francie lives and stuff, and does it include her family's background that we find out later. (you know the one about the Rommely family and Nolan family and how her parents met?)

Yes it does talk about Johnny's and Katie's families and their backgrounds and how they met and got married.
