psp firmware question?

i have a psp 2.71 se-b but i cant seem to get emulators to work on it. if i downgrade it to a 1.50 will it be able to play emulator? (mame)

You need to do much more research. If you want emulation on your psp very badly, you should do research on http://www.PSP3D.com Thye have all the news and updates. Learn whats what. All non-sony makers software for PSP is called Homebrew, and Sony is working their butts off trying to overpower people decrypting their firmware. To answer your question, yes 1.50 plays everything, but BE CAREFUL!!! You can brick your psp from never working again!!!
