Right click your drive in the My Computer screen and choose Format.

I think you should NOT do this without the proper knowledge of what this does to your computer.

reformatting will erase all data on it. If it has windows on it then you will need to install windows on it. And it will make your installation as good as new. But then you will need to add all of the softwares you have been using now, so keep the disks of those softwares ready before you format. You will also need the cd and configuration info of the internet connection that you received from your ISP , so make sure you know how to configure the inetrnet connection on a new computer.

you need to put your XP cd in, and reboot the computer. You have to make sure the computer boots from the CD first, so u may have to go into your BIOS settings and change that. MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP EVERYTHING PREVIOUSLY TO A DVD OR OTHER REMOVABLE MEDIA! Also make sure you have downloaded the drivers so that all your stuff will work (sound, video, etc)

Insert your Windows CD, Make sure your BIOs is set to boot from CD. When you see the prompt that says "Press any key to boot from CD" press a key and it will load Windows setup. From there it will pretty much ask you what you'd like to do.

The question should be "Why", with all your data on the drive, formatting will destory it all. Maybe you should consider backing up your data before doing this.
