Will Dems/Libs ever take a stand against tyrants/bullies? The current bunch of dems/libs would have applauded Hitler and said FDR/Churchhill were the bad guys.

I don't understand everything I read
and hear about what's wrong with America
When you don't have a lot of book learnin
there's many things you don't understand
But I know this much, she's like a Mother to me

I don't know any liberals who are mourning Saddam. Saddam was a jack@ss Unfortunatly, though, We (America) helped him when our government thought it was advatageous to do so.(Have you never seen the pictures of him shaking hands with Rumsfeld in 1983?).
Didn't you ever hear that Saddam was down right suprised we were mad at him when he invaded Kuwait... he had ties with the US, and well... he was a megalomaniac!!
All the little backdoor deals and crazy dictators our government helped prop up to fight the "Commie Soviet Menace" has bit us and the rest of the world on it's a$$es.
So, to answer your inflamitory questions dems/Libs want to stand up against tyrants/bullies as much as Cons do. We just want to keep from becoming what we say we despise - tyrants and bullies.
As for Hitler and FDR. LOL Whatever.

Uh, huh... look at the relationship between the extremes of WWII. Hitler and the Soviet Union just LOOOVED each other's politics. (*rolls eyes* Oil - water anyone?) They were extreme two sides of the same coin in the beginning of WWII, Germany just screwed over the Soviets first.

FDR = Democrat .....you know... depression, welfare, social spending, New Deal - "chicken in every pot" - any of this ringing a bell?

I can't figure out if this is a joke question, just trying to get a rise out of us, or if the person asking it is really that... well, I can't even come up with a word for that level of boneheaded ignorance. FDR as a conservative? FDR, of WWII, and the New Deal, of the Works Progress Administration (WPA), the Civilian Conservation Corps... FDR, possibly the greatest liberal president in our history?
Please, tell me this guy is joking... it's either that or he was home-schooled, by his parents' rottweiler.

2 Saddam Hussein was given the chemical weapons he used on those poor souls, and oh yeah that was by the American government

You need to brush up on your history, pal. FDR was a liberal AND a democrat. FDR was the one who led this nation to victory against Hitler and who delcared was on Japan. And I know of no liberals or Dems who are mourning the death of Saddam. Just because we oppose a war that is waged on deception and lies and is killing thousands of our young men, does not make us weak on foreign policy. It just makes as weak on tolerating Bush's Nazi tactics. You also need to look up the word "liberal" in the dictionary. Our Founding Fathers were liberals. Quite parroting phrases you don't understand. You need to read more and shoot your mouth off less.
