Any kind of magick (or any action) can be used for both good or bad.

Example: Fire is used for heat, to cook, etc. Fire also can be used for arson, destroying, etc.

The basic idea is the same for magick. It depends on which way that it is used.

Foot Note: Magic spelled without the "k" at the end indicates that it is magic such as in a stage show. Magick spelled with a "k" at the end is what Wiccans (Witches) practice.

Have a lovely rest of the evening. Bright Blessings

"White" and "black" are just labels (and racist ones at that, according to Isaac Bonewits, who goes into the color theories behind magic in his book, "Real Magic").

Magic is just a tool, and as with any tool it can be used for any purpose; it is not inherently anything. Humans assign values to it as interpreted through their own personal biases and experiences; therefore what is "good" to one person may be "evil" to another.

As to practices that often get labelled as "black magic", yes, they exist. Demology (the study of demons) and demonolatry (the worship of demons), curses, and other such things are still practiced in a variety of contexts. Afro-Caribbean religions, such as Voodoo, have gotten a bad rap thanks to the media and racism, but they're less about "evil" curses and more about honoring entities, such as the loa in Voodoo.

ABSOLUTELY black magick is real.

There have been several docummented accounts of a person being cursed by a black magickan, and the person just dies.

There are around 50 documented incidents of black and white magick in the book "Recovering The Ancient magic" Max Freedom Long.

It's definitely real. I only do it to people who have truly hurt me or someone in my family, and so far Karma has left me alone :-)
