Double check the BIOS is correct you are going to install, check versions, dates, MB model, bios version on bott up, and then double check before trying to flash. And backing up never hurts, but sometimes is not an option.
Be sure the power doesn't go off in the middle of it, and don't turn anything on more than needed, and don't play with anything while it is flashing.

Good luck!

What do you get once you turn on the laptop? are you able to even enter the CMOS setup show screen? you may attempt to apply a boot disk in the cd-stress to initiate it (assuming which you relatively desire it to place in the BIOS firmware). in case you do not have a boot disk on CD then you definately can create one making use of yet another laptop, or in case you may enter the CMOS setup substitute the 1st boot device to the floppy stress. it truly is obtainable that your CMOS settings have been replaced once you as much as date, so which you in case you may enter the CMOS setup then examine your boot settings and something this is part of the boot technique. i'm hoping this facilitates you relatively

Backup the old BIOS, so you can revert back to it, if the flash fails.

Follow the instruction to flash your BIOS in your motherboard manual.

now for a start.... never over clock your CPU... you will only get 2% more out of it, if that... and a maximum of 100% chance of burning out other things.... if you bios dose not have that choice in it now you won't get it with the update...

only fools play around with over clocking... it is not worth the chance.. but it is your choice
