I have a friend in Louisville & I will certainly pass this link on to her. Best of wishes with your battle for owner's & animals' rights. It is very difficult to be a responsible owner of pets in [any] city. There are so many ordinances to restrict pet ownership inside city limits...
Can you get the other local breed groups, etc involved in your battle??? That document covered many different species. You may get some support from the FFA, 4-H, extension office, and species/breed specific clubs.
Sometimes I wish PETA and some of the other "pro-Pet" groups would realise how much damage they are doing to animals' welfare.

I think although it does seem a little extreme in some instances, a lot of it is good. I think there should be a better "screening" process for pet owners. I think that a lot of these restrictions, although a pain to some, will weed out those people who don't want to go through the hassle. Pets are almost like children...Completely dependent on us!

Pit bull owners have been saying for a long time they were just the start of things to come. Start with a breed that is "bad" and it well be easyer to clla another breed then another till bang they are all gone and people are wondering how and why.

That's ridiculous... Responsible owner laws is one thing, but this is WAY over the TOP!
Are they going to do mandatory birth control implants in all human girls at maturation and require any couples wishing to have offspring to attend classes and get a license for how many they may have before it can be removed? (Hmmmm....) And if they have multiple births above their limit, they must relinquish said overlimit number to the state... and pay a fine... ?
I have a feeling there is going to be an uprising in Kentucky!!
I don't live in KY; but I think we should inundate ALL the councils e-mail boxes to tell them they're crossing the line to communism and that's NOT acceptable in America!

That's scary. While I am for stricter laws for breeding and owning, there are things that go beyond that and harm us responsible owners.
