Non-profits in DC: Any non-profits out there who would be ready to sponsor a foreigner?

I am highly qualified, very motivated and wanting to gain some experience in the non-profit sector, preferably based in DC. Only snag...I am on an A-1 visa until Sept 07. Anyone willing to give me a chance? sponsor me for a work visa???

Since you have access to a computer, I recommend you do a search for nonprofits in DC (and there are quite a few there) and contact them with your resume and letter of interest.

Or you can check at the major search sites, like hotjobs.com and monster.com - you can add nonprofit, D.C. as a parameter for a search to see who is hiring

There are also specialized nonprofit sites that post open positions. Check out the Nonprofit Times, Idealist.org, The Association of Fundraising Professionals
