ive been working this company for more than 3 years already. ive learned a lot and have realized my capabilities which i never knew i can do. but now, the company has reached to the point of stream lining. i havent gotten a raise for over 2 years now but the company pays for my masteral course which i treated as a raise already. just recently, the managing director met with us (the working group) and explained to us that we need to push the on-going projects in order for us to get the salary we wanted. im ok with that but financial difficulties are making me think twice and pushing me to try my luck with other companies. i've loved the people and the company as my family. but with the situation now, im torn and it feels heavy that im being pushed to go out and find another work. any advise will be greatly appreciated.

You should look for other work before you are put in a position that foces you to find other work, Employees are generally much more loyal than the companies that they work for. It sounds like the job brought you to a great place, now it may be time to spread those wings and find another stage to exhibit your talents. While you continue to go to work, shop around. Your masterial courses are definately important, so STAY IN SCHOOL!!! whatever you do, and look for another gig. My big sis had a similar issue, quit her job and moved out of state, and now she says that it's the best decision she could have made, although it was hard going for a moment. GOOD LUCK!

Look for new opps. Do 'informational interviews' at other companies - ie, you get in touch with their HR departments to find out about job opps, and find a way to get an appointment 'to get more info' about the company and its possibilities. Take your CV along if such a chance arises.
Then, decide if you're safer where you are. Whatever happens, try to get out before your position gets axed, or before you find yourself in more financial trouble.

You can send resumes and look for other opportunities. If a great job comes along, great. If not, then you have kept up with resume building and practiced your interview skills. Good luck; a situation like this is never easy.

It never hurts to look. Brush off your resume, update it and submit it to Monster.com, and Careerbuilder. See what happens. By posting your resume employers can contact you. It beats pounding the pavement.
