Open up the case and check for dust in the fan. Have seen that before and the CPU is overheating.

The noise is disconcerning though. Rip it down to just the motherboard and the Video card. Then boot it up. If it still runs add the memory. Boot again and add the HD and so on. Brute force method but, will tell you which part is not running. Is it making any beeps when it starts ? Your MB should have info on the beeps and what they mean. Best of luck

Hey Dude,

Hum?

A lot of times, turning off a pc will cause the dust to set and the bearings in fans, hard drives, and other moving parts to go bad.

Now, the first thing that I would susspect is the Power supply. Do you have any smells? Get your nose in your pc and smell around.

If your fans are not working properly, and cooling is not happening, you are going to have a problem. I have the SAME/similar motherboard and have ALWAYS had a problem with the MSI utilities showing that the motherboard and processor are overheating. They weren't. I took off that software and my PC has been running okay since.

I really do not like my MSI motherboard. I would suggest buying a new one.

Oh yeah, tear down the PC to nothing but the hard drives. Also, check the bios. For some reason, the bios will reset to factory default with no reason.

There could be a number of reasons why your computer is doing this.
1) Your motherboard may be fried or damaged, possibly from static.

2) Your Hard Drive might be damaged.

3) Windows has an error thats preventing it from starting up. I have had this problem- windows starts up then turns off and restarts. Try starting windows in safe mode and use the system recovery/restore.

if you have a cooling fan on your processor. that might be bad and allowing your processor to over heat and to make the computer shut down. so I would replace the cpu fan with another one. also check your case fans also.

I would upgrade your power supply to atleast a 500W. your power supply might be over tasked running all that stuff.

Sounds like PSU And 300w is a little low for your setup, go 500w
