Personally, I'm a Mac fan, but it's all up to how you're going to use your computer. If you end up getting a PC, however, I recommend you don't get a Dell. After all, you get what you pay for, and my experience with them has been nothing but bad. I like to use Mac because the UI is more pleasing to the eye, which helps with the fact that it's much better at creating and presenting multimedia. It's also much safer against viruses and spyware, so my Powerbook G4 and PowerMac G5 are still running just as fast as the day I purchased them. There's a lot of insecurities on the way the Windows platform is built. It's been that way since Windows 95, so I assume Windows Vista won't be much different. That's just an assumption however. Sure there's a lot of bias in my statement, however, as a user of Windows who switched to Mac I feel that I'm qualified to make that statement. One thing to keep in mind is that there are a lot more options to customize computers running Windows since Apple is the only company that sells Macs, but Apple has been adding more and more customization and more features over the years and the products are beautiful and durable.

It depends what you need to use the machine for. If you are into graphics and are doing anything that requires the creation of artwork or photos, you want to definately go with Mac. The primary purpose of PCs are for word processing and handling data. Most PCs and Macs are equipped to handle media and e-mailing. Macs are very expensive to own and since we do live in a PC world. In terms of PCs I would go with HP over Dell. Dell has far better tech support than HP and always has some type of deal or promotion being offered off its prices. Do be warned however that Dell historically has had trouble with its batteries but other than that they tend to be trouble free. I've owned a Mac, a Dell and an HP, so I hope you can get something from my 2 cents.

It's hard to say because it really comes down to preference. It's kind of like asking someone if they like an American or European car better. I'd say a Mac is definitely more stable since it has a Unix core and also has cooler visual effects but at the same time PC's are very widely used (over 90-95% of people use PCs) so there are much more software/game options available

Well, it depends what you want to so, and what your price range is. If you want to keep it on the cheap then generally speaking, PC is the way to go. but if you have a bigger budget mac can be nice- they have terrific user interfaces and are impervious to viruses, and are great for music movies ect.ect. New macs can run Windows Operating systems but the only real advantage to that is gaming so if that's your bag- then PC's generally the way to go. And although I like mac better I've got to say, when you go windows you have ALOT more options as to what kind of computer you get and with what features.

It relies upon what you're able to desire to apply the device for. while you're into photos and are doing something that calls for the creation of paintings or photos, you want to definately bypass with Mac. the commonplace purpose of desktops are for be conscious processing and working with information. maximum desktops and Macs are equipped to shield media and e-mailing. Macs are very high priced to possess and because we do stay in a working laptop or laptop international. in terms of desktops i could bypass with HP over Dell. Dell has much extra useful tech help than HP and continually has some type of deal or merchandising being provided off its fees. Do be warned in spite of the undeniable fact that that Dell traditionally has had difficulty with its batteries yet different than that they have a tendency to be difficulty unfastened. i've got owned a Mac, a Dell and an HP, so i'm hoping you may get something from my 2 cents.

If you want more compatibility with the advancing world you should by Dell or anything with Windows on it. Mac isn't as advanced and doesn't get that much support. Besides it's made by a Huge Corporation that has yet to fail, Microsoft.

That's like answering someone in the general public, what's better Pepsi or Coke.
It's not a bad question, it just depends on how you plan to use your system, and quite simply personal preference. Check on line PC reviews like c|net and other site of the sort. If it's between Apple or Dell, it's six of one half dozen of the other IMHO.

That's like finding the difference between VHS and Beta. The mac is considered better with graphics, but the pc is more accepted and has gobs more software.

I would say a PC.

For a PC, you can do many stuff. if you are tire of using windows, you can easily convert it to a linux machine and try other stuffs.

What the heck, you can do a dual boot machine with a pc easily.

i am not sure if MAC can do that.
