You did the right thing by checking the sellers feedback score. Since it is 100% and he refunded someone with problems, you will probably be fine. I have bought a lot on ebay- even a Mac G4 laptop computer- which I am using right now! I have also been skunked but that was early on when I did not check feedback and got some bad sellers. Charge it on your credit card rather than Paypal. I would only use a seller who takes Paypal AND credit cards. Most do. Your credit card will satisfy your concerns a lot faster than Paypal. You just call your credit card company and put it in dispute. They will help you get a refund and take the money off your charges until it is resolved. Hope this helps. And NEVER send money via Western Union. Scammers always involved in that. Good luck.

Ebay is as secure as the seller you buy from. 100% feedback is as good as it gets, of course. And someone saying that they didn't get the product but they were refunded anyway is awesome, especially if the seller says they mailed the item, and still refunded it. It sounds like this seller is a good risk! Make sure you are aware of all the fine print if you haven't bought on Ebay before. How are you paying? Do they accept your payment preference? Some sellers only accept Paypal, you know. Make sure also that you are willing to pay what they are charging for shipping, as some sellers also charge a handling fee in addition to actual mailing costs. Be sure to compare prices on Half.com as well, for video games (as well as books, dvds, cds...). It's connected with Ebay.

How many others gave the seller a positive feedback rating? If it was something like a 10-1 (good to bad) ratio then I would feel pretty confident about that.
Also, I would inquire with the seller about that past incident (for their side of the story) before making any purchases official. If their story sounds a bit far out or just not right, don't purchase anything from them. Good luck.

If you have a gut feeling that the seller may not deliver, then dont go through with the purchase. There will always be another game from someone else that you can buy from. I have bought a few things on ebay and not had any problems yet.
