How do you fix the Blackhawks powerplay?

they have been playing better hockey since Denis Savard has taking over as coach, and yes Havlat came back to. but to get a power play to work nobody can explain it, cause one year you are great on the power play and the next you can't score. look at Bryan McCabe this year compare to last year he was on fire on the power play till the Olympics that is and he cant score like he did last year. a power play is when all 5 players on the team can totally dominate when they have a man advantage, that doesn't mean that they wont be good on the PP after the all-star break you never now what might happen.

I've only watched them twice this year, so I cannot make a definitive judgement, but it seems to me that they need to get better shots from the point. Last night against the Blues they saw a lot of shots and passes blocked. The d-men are inexperienced, and it really shows, but that will improve eventually. They also need to get someone tough in front of the net and in the corners. Too bad they do not have someone more skilled than Martin Lapointe with that kind of grit. Maybe Ruutu will develop into that good corner-man, but that remains to be seen. Bondra is not good in front of the net and has always been better just looking to get open for a shot, but he'll help out a lot as he gets better used to his linemates. Havlat is the same way. So look for the powerplay to improve as the year progresses, but currently you probably just don't have the players to make it top-notch.
