Total Item : 5,267
Number of Mistakes = 44
Therefore, the number of Correct item is 5,267-44=5,223
Accuracy Percentage is Correct Item/Total Item x 100
ie 5,223/5,267 x 100 = 99.17% (round to 2 decimal place)

Alternatively, you can find out the mistake percentage and then use it to less from 100%
44/5,267x 100% = 0.84%
To find accurancy percentage is 100%-Mistake percentagei.e. 100-0.84 = 99.16% (slight difference is due to rounding of decimal place)

You made 5267 total items, and 44 mistakes. So you made 5267 - 44 = 5223 correctly. Now divide them and convert to a percent:
(5223 / 5267) * 100 = 99.16%

5267 = 100%
44 = x

x = 44 times 100 divided by 5267 = .83539

subtract: 100 - .83539 = 99.16 %

Divide the number of items by the number of mistakes.
5267 / 44 = 119.7

So, for approximately every 120th item, one is an error.

1/119.7
