Yep do your reading it is true. There is a 100 or more years of writing on this subject.
Now if the "weed" is laced with some harmful drug then I bet one can easily. The "weed" of today and the pure form as found in medical grown MJ and the MJ back in the olden days are different.
I am told the "weed" that is sold cheap on the streets taken away from the south of the boarder growers and laced with weed killers are being sold on the streets of America today.
This is deadly! This of course is only rumor I herd.
Matters where one gets it if it is grown yourself or bought from those who could care less what happens to people who use this.
Medical grown MJ is the purest form found today. Get legal to have it and one can find out.

An overdose is any dose that is more than is comfortable. So people do consume overdoses of marijuana that make them uncomfortable.

However, there is no recorded instance of any human ever dying from it. The lethal dose is so large that researchers cannot find a dose that will reliably kill a rat.

According to which US Government authority you want to believe, the lethal dose of marijuana is either one-third your body weight, or 1,500 pounds, consumed in about fifteen minutes. You can find the references at http://www.druglibrary.org/schaffer/library/mj_overdose.htm

A nurse I know worked in a mental home in Colombia in the 60's, and she admitted two guys who had gone totally nuts after smoking pot from the Colombian wilderness. But I've never heard of anyone overdosing on pot like dying.

I have heard that weed is not a kind of drug that will affect any vital parts of the brain such as res[iratory or involuntary organs so it probably would not cause an overdose. The problem is that is does cause severe brain damage to speech and memory parts of the brain and also causing people to behave in very dangerous ways when they are under the influence.
Also, many people call it the "Gateway" drug because it leads to havier and more dangerou drug use such as cocaine, heroin among others.

it is possible to overdose on weed but due to the chemical in it....the person who smoke too much of it would be too busy spending his/her time in the toilet (crapping away) as it has a laxative effect in high doses...

Therefore in summary, if he/she wants to overdose, they'll be using the weed continuously while in the toilet crapping.

Yes, and a chronic user (pun intended) is a loser. You don't have to die to be a victim of an overdose. Just look at the jobless bums stealing and selling dope for a living. Victims creating victims.

while it is posible to die from thc, its possible to die from anything given the right amount. in a lab study done on rats, it took two times the weight in thc to kill the rat. so while its plausible, there is no way youd have two times your body weight in thc in your bloodstream at anytime ever. but we can all dream.
