Which is healthier for you, a cigar or a cigarette?

It's a common misconception that cigars are better for you because you don't inhale. the truth is that they are both bad for you weather you are inhaling or not. one cigar is probably worse for you then one cigarette but it's never just one cigarette is it.

Neither is healthy for you. There is also a misconception that "light" cigarettes are healthier than regular cigarettes. This is also false because the same carcinogens are in both.
Lastly, in my state, effective Jan. 1st, a $1 per pack tax was added into the price of cigarettes. This is also very unhealthy for the pocketbook.

Cigars have 20xs more nicotine in them than cigarettes, however, cigarette smokers smoke more than a cigar smoker. And there is the little matter of inhaling, which typically you don't inhale cigar smoke.

It depends what you want to die from lung cancer or gum cancer. I personally like cigars: A nice Cohiba or Monticristo. I choose cigars. If you're going to die from it only smoke good expensive cigars.

but a sigar weights about 5+ times more than a cigarette ; so that the same weight of cigarette is actually worse than sicar

because that cigar is made entirely of tobbaco but a cigarette has paper and the fillter which sorda made of things that make you more addictive
