Depends on the tone used, sarcastically or sincerely and the other choice of words...

On impulse I'd take it as a compliment. Then maybe four hours later, I'd think it over and feel stupid. A good answer to things like that is to say "thank you". Then the person won't really be able to tell if you're taking it offensively, or whatever. Exactly.

I would totally accept it as a compliment. that is an awesome compliment, even if they were trying to insult you. I would rather be different.
And unless they said it with a huge chunk of scarcasm in their voice, then they probably meant it nicely, or in a neutral way.

Yes I would take it as a compliment. But it could also be a clever insult.

Take it as a compliment! Even if they mean it as an insult - that will really confuse them :) Think about it, being strong enough to be yourself makes you beautiful, other's don't have to agree with you!

i would take it as a compliment the only way to tell is by the tone. if it was full of wonder or friendly it was a compliment. if it was discused or freaked out, then it was an insult

It depends the most on body language and tone.
Those are the 2 biggest factors in communication including words. Words choice is one of the least important things in human to human communication.

Well, you said you liked my mullet, so anyone who has that sort of sense of humour is alright in my books. How could I take it as an insult?
By the way...
I've never met anyone like you before....

it actually depends on you......
if you know that you're a great person and you've been getting "good vibes" from that person, it's a compliment
if you're really mean or have a physicall disorder (like no nose or a forehead the size of Alabama) then it's an insult

Depends on the tone of the speaker when they say it. But most of the time, it is a compliment.

yeah thats a hard one to figure out. i would pay attention to how the person treats me to see if they were trying to compliment or insult me. i've gotten that comment b4, and i assume they think i'm a little strange, which is ok with me
