what punishments did you get?--like did you have to take off your shirt, strip, tied, etc....what did you get disciplined with, etc. any other details you think would fit.

Got hit with a horsewhip, made to kneel on buttons for a long period of time, belt whipping, etc. The one that hurt the most was when I was around 6 years old and my mother took up the habit of having me kneel in front of my father and beg for forgiveness.

I got the 'Just wait until your father gets home!' spiel. He never did anything but it was a good start off to any discipline. If we didn't stop then, we would get the wooden spoon across our butts or top of legs.
Dad would threaten with a belt - you know, doubled over and then crack it. Makes a loud scary sound but he never used it on us girls just my brother.
At school, I had a teacher that draw a red circle on the board in chalk and you had to stand with your nose on the dot. Afterwards, you weren't allowed to wipe it off until home time.

I remember one time my dad was really mad at us and sent us to our room for the whole day and night and gave me and my sister a sub roll cut in half with butter on it and each of us got a half and a small glass of water. Also, when I was a teenager, he would tell us we had to be home by 11 and every minute late was a day grounded. That was a tough one to stick to. I remember running home one day because I was about to be late but had 2 minutes left and came to the courtyard near my house and there were 2 dobermans standing in the middle of the road growling at me so I just stood there and didn't move and eventually they walked away but when I got home, I told my dad what happened and swore up and down I wasn't lying but he didn't believe me so I was grounded for 5 days. :)

I was abused as a child. The closet to normal punishments were getting spanked with a belt, a switch, a spatula, a cord pretty much anything within his reach. I don't remember taking anything off for him to punish me though.

Oh gosh, where do I start!
Had to lean across the bed with pants down and beaten with a leather belt. Left me black and blue from my butt to the back of my knees and I couldn't sit down for hours.
Had to kneel on raw rice with nothing on my knees for a long time.
Had to stay bent over on my fingertips and tip toes for a long time also.
My younger Brother had to stay on the front steps with his wet underwear on his head. Yep, I was walking home from a friends house very happy go lucky and my heart went to my stomach when I saw him. He accidentally wet his underwear.
We were ridiculed by how we looked, walked, ate, you name it.
Oh yeah, got punched in my mouth one time by my Mother because I couldn't find the broom!!!
So, in saying all this, I do have to say that I turned out pretty good and not a criminal. So, being treated like that, I have no tolerance when a criminal claims he/she raped, shot, murdered etc. because of his/her abusive childhood. It's called personal responsibility.
Also, because of how I was treated I am a better Mother with my 2 children and hardly ever had to spank either one of them. I cannot fathom treating my children the way I was, it sends chills up my spine to see a child abused.
Oh, also, we were NOT bad kids either. This is where forgiveness also comes in. I've forgiven them for the past but hold my Mother accountable today. Dad is in Heaven now.

When I was young, I was occasionally spanked. Once, my dad took a belt to me...I had tried to run away from home. After I was about ten, I just got grounded a lot.

The worst punishment for me, became being informed that I had to think of of my own punishment. If mine became to not my mom and dad satisfaction, then they might settle on. commonly i might say, no television, no computing device, and so on. Then they might say, you will possibly desire to stay domicile this weekend, or perhaps worse... cling out with them. My sister and brother are super in to motorsports racing, they the two race sprint automobiles. every person consistently asks why i don't do it and that i say, they started whilst i became in severe college and it became my punishment to head to the racetrack with them on the weekends.

To this day,I can't stand the scent of it!

None never.well there was that time my mom found me some place i should of not been,and i was a touch F***ed up.grounded me for 2 weeks and i only did 3 days,what could i say i was a good girl.most of the time...

When I'd need punishing, I'd get spanked. And that was the ONLY thing that worked with me. If my parents tried anything else...withdrawing privileges, keeping me from doing something I really wanted to do, grounding, etc....I figured I had GOTTEN AWAY with it. (And Lord...if they had tried that "time out" sh*t...I'da giggled myself silly.)
