This question has been asked for decades. My grandmother said it was asked by so many during the great depression and while our country is better off today than it was then there are still people who are hungry, homeless, etc.

I believe you should take care of the weeds in your own backyard before pulling your neighbors weeds.

i think that making ties with other countries is some what of a good idea because there will be less wars and more peace in the world. people take for granted everyday that there are others around the globe who are living almost inhumane and that they don't have as many of the wonderful resources we have to be able to stay healthy and alive. you are hearing about those in darfur and sudan who are going through genocide and unhealthy surcomstances. if more people had the ability to travel to these countries and see the way these citizens live than maybe they would appreciate those and the things around them and want to help other people even if it means helping in their own communities. everyday i pray that things will turn out better for these individuals but we can only leave it in god's hands and let him guide and stay with them through their extreme and unsafe situations.

we have a lot of work that needs to be done in this country. Past, present, and probably future leaders are more worried about what the world thinksd and needs more than what our country needs

Amen. We have our own problems. Maybe people will realize how much we do help if we stop. We should bring all of our troops home, protect our own borders, and build this country up again.
