im organising an indie night in February which has 3 bands playing and 2 djs but i cant think of a god dam name for the thing. Whoever has the best answer can come on the guest list!!

ummm the local pub always calls there's Jam night when all the indie bands play, but that sounds crap. Ummmm I'll have a think about that. What's the name of the venue and all of the bands names?
What about Indie 500, like that race car thingy.
Or Tufnells Indie 500/ Camden Indie 500, it isn't that good a suggestion but I am working on it! lol

Detonation already exists - it's a drum and bass night in Nottingham.
It's a good idea to name it after a song that is in some way representative of the music you play -
e.g. if you played classic rock/metal you could call it "Paranoid"
You don't say what kind of music you play but your myspace looks pretty nu-rave/post-punky.
You could call it "Please Kill Me" after the punk book...or as it's on the 15th you could call it "The 15th" after the Wire song... or "Transmission" or "Unknown Pleasures" after Joy Division...Also the YYY have a lot of good names - "Date with the Night", Y Control" "Art Star"....
Look at your favourite music and artists and pick a name from a song title or lyric. It will encourage people to come too if they get the reference and it's an artist they enjoy!

I like the play on words thing....
Did you know that Mardi Gras means 'fat tuesday' - maybe call it Fat Tuesdays - but if it's on a Friday, might confuse a few people!
Play around with classic indie band names.....
Happy Mondays - you could call it Unhappy Saturdays - but people might think it's rubbish just from the name....
Inspiral Carpets - Inspiral Lino, Inspiral Rug - nah, maybe not
Stone Roses - Pebble Lillies? Slate Carnations?!
Joy Division - Happy League?
I dunno, that's given you some food for thought though!
If I was going to name it I would call it Urban Sprawl - it means downtown, mean streets - I like it
