Some concerts have a "general admission" section, usually the pit in front of the stage. Those are usually the most expensive tickets and since there are no seats in the pit it's a free-for-all to get up to the front. That's most likely what you see and hear about as far as people lining up days in advance for the concert. If you have a reserved seat, with a section, row and seat number you don't need to worry about any of that.
I'd get there around 7:45 so you can park, walk to the arena, find your seat and maybe get a drink befoer show time. You should be fine.

If your tickets have seat numbers on them, you are fine to get there an hour, maybe an hour and a half early. If not, get there as early as you want good seats. So okay seats, 1 and a half maybe, depending on the size of the arena and the fan base. Usually people are lined up for tickets. Have a great time, and make sure you sing along, dance, and bring a cell phone to wave on the slow songs! (You might want to bring earplugs too.....)

just get there on time...maybe leave a little bit earlier than you normally would depending on how big the venue is and how famous the band is cause there might be a lot of traffic. If you get there at 830 you wont miss anything cause they rarely start on time and also there should be an opening band playing or at least a supporting one. Theres no real ettiquete - there will probably be a lot of drunk kids - especially at a rock concert. just support the band to the fullest.

I used to only go to concerts if I could get GA tickets... the events leading up to the concert were just as nuts as the concert itself.
Usually teh long lines are for people trying to get tickets though. When its assigned seating people fight for those tickets up front ya know.
Not a bad idea to go early.

What social gathering on wayne pronounced grew to become into perfect. undesirable stay overall performance etiquette could be getting drunk, loud and touching different individuals on purpose. wearing a band shirt is telling the band and individuals "i'm right here to help this band I savour"

i believe in getting and watching the support acts cause they may be big one day and you can say you saw then when...
ok i go to gigs alot.. people in the crowd talking and using mobile phones are spreading.. c'mon on.. be there now.. listen to the music!
if it is a big venue then go a bit early but if it is a smaller one, no need to line up for a long period..
enjoy.
