The winter months are June, July and August. It doesn't usually snow in the major cities in Australia [Sydney, Melbourne and so forth] but if you go to the Snowy Mountains you will see a lot of snow. If you want to go on a holiday to a place with a lot of snow though, Australia probably isn't the best place.

It's normally from June-August. However, places like perth and alice spring do not experience winter like Melbourne, Sydney, Tasmania, etc. But night time will be cooling.
It does not snow unless you are at high altitude areas like the mountains.

Let's see now. Australia is on the OPPOSITE side of the Earth to the northern hemisphere. Therefore, winter could be the OPPOSITE to the northern hemisphere. Have I lost you yet?? Following me?? So ... if the northern hemisphere's summer is June, July, August ... when do you think winter is on the OPPOSITE side of the world??
And it snows where the ski fields are. That's how people can ski down the mountains.
