I have Dell XPS 410 with intel dual core 6600 at 2.4ghz, 2 gb ram, and X1300 pro graphic card. And I was wondering when DX10 graphic cards come out, will I be able to upgrade my graphic card to one of those dx10 ones? or am I stuck with DX9 cards?
What's the best card that I can upgrade into?

You will, they are PCI Express just like the one you have. The only issue would be if you have a big enough power supply, but I think you should have just enough.

you can upgrade to a DX10 card but DX10 is only for windows vista. microsoft has said they are not going to make windows XP DX 10 compatible. people that has bought those 8800 dx10 cards cant run them on xp for very long before the computer crashes. so make sure if your going to spend the money on a 8800 video card. that your going to run vista.

I have heard x1300 and above should be "compatible" but I guess we will all have to see when it's released.

Direct X 10 is the jump in the right direction, just gonna leave some cards by the way side in its wake, but this is what we pay for graphical advancement.

Heck with all those PCI-e slots you could run dual X1900XTX's in crossfire if you wanted to.

DX10 cards are already out, you can get an eVGA card from Newegg.com for about $430. And in case you are wondering, it shatters almost every benchmark out there.
