Which chips run the coolest?

Turion is AMDs mobile technology, just like the Pentium M used to be Intels, before they started calling everything by the same name. A Celeron is a low end model, not dual core (D means nothing in Celeron D). Intel has the Core Duo and Core 2 Duo for laptops, both dual core, but the Core 2 Duo is newer, faster, and cooler. They are just abou equal to the AMD Turion X2s, with a slight advantage to the Core 2 Duos.

Ok, so computers aren't your thing?

Celeron is the brand of a chip developed by Intel, just like Core 2. The main difference is that Celeron is a cheaper version, that is less powerful.

Turion is AMD's version of Celeron. Both are cheaper and slower than their desktop counterparts.

Now, the Intel Core 2 Duo is a dual core processor, but the Celeron D is not (the "D" doesn't stand for anything). It is based on the old Pentium 4 technology (which isn't all that efficient)

Turion X2, however, IS dual core and is probably the coolest of all of the processors you've stated.

The Celeron is a chipset made by Intel, so the difference only depends on the type of chip you need to run. Yes, there are comparisons, but I can't tell you which are completely accurate. And as for heat consumption, it depends on how heavily you use your computer, but I'd get an extra couple of fans just in case.
