Pizzas usually sit on a rack waiting for the next available delivery person to take it. If the place is busy, pizzas will sit on that rack for quite some time. Pizzas only take about 10-15 minutes to cook in the ovens they have, yet they sometimes quote an hour wait. What do you think your pizza is doing that whole time...getting cold. Also, if a deliver person can take several pizzas at once (he will be around the same neighborhood) he/she will.
You need to call the business and complain. They will often give you a credit and make a note in their systems so they will be extra careful with your order next time around.
If this isn't going to work, you need to stop bringing them business.

Your tip probably did not get recognized especially when you have another person deliver your pizza. May be the pizza guy this time is an idiot who does not know the road.

Don't let the delivery man deliver your pizza because from past experiences, they spit at your pizza or do something with it.
Trust me, it's true! All delivery man for any restaurants get pays little and they have lousy life, so for entertainment, they don't wash their hands and they spit at your food!
If I were you, I go and pick it up!

You still tip 50% and get horrible pizza? that is pretty hard to believe. Maybe that's why. They know they are going to get a big tip anyway so why bother trying hard?

sometimes pizza deliverers have to go to OTHER houses before your house, despite how close you live to the pizza place.
