I really want to start a rock n' roll band, but I need help creating songs. Any ideas?

well depends on if u have a band already or not...its your own person style really but ive heard a lot of musicians make their music first and then write the lyrics to fit the melody. but i say make the band first cause you might have some guys who are really good at making music or some who are adept at songwriting. play to your strengths and cooperate and im sure youll do fine. try to cover some of your favorite songs first before making your own.

just write down random things about stuff that matters to you...then see if you can fit it into a song
