They are Italian and don't look Italian.

I guess it depends on WHEN (in time) those painting/masks were made. The germanic peoples migrated from all over Northern Europe to Southern Europe and into Asia Minor, depending at what point in the Roman Empire's history those art pieces were created it may have been common place to depict them as "Germanic"

Italians look very different from what the stereotype of an Italian, (Mario Bros) is. The result of millennia of invasions, migrations, general mixabouts. Exactly like a lot of the rest of Europe.

What do Italians look like? Dark and small like the Sicilians or tall and blond like the Piadmontese? There's a wide range of looks in Italy.

Beacause in the time of those pictures and before that, alot of Germans moved out of Germany into Italy, for whatever reason

"Italian" means somebody who lives in Italy.
They're not all genetically identical, you know...
Isn't it wonderful that modern science has proven through genetics that we all descend from early humans in africa, who had dark (black) skin like modern africans? That all of our diversity goes back to our black origins? Doesn't that just make all the white-pride nonsense even more ridiculous than it already was? :)
