Research Minneapolis, MN. The twin cities are wonderful, clean, very friendly and accepting people. The Gay 90's is a great club in downtown MSP.

Well the Castro community off Market Street in san Francisco, Ca. is a little peice of gay paradise as it has everything you could ever want to do and see right in this huge culdesac shaped neighborhood/Villiage. Bars, clubs, some of the hottest guys on earth, almost every establishment there is gay owner/operator. People know each other by name. Total support! Only one drawback though, SFC is extremely high end/expensive.
Oops my bad, gay males~ Castro...Lesbians~ Berkley, California! Berkley puts the grrrrrr... in girl.

Besides the obvious SF and NY, the Metro DC area has a lot of gay clubs and a big gay bookstore. DC also has domestic partner benefits.
