Do you mean in your own head? I mean sometimes I can't stop thinking about things, just things that pop into my head randomly or whatever, something I can't shake off. Nothing bad necessarily, just perhaps get a bad image in my head randomly and somehow manage to obsess over it while I'm trying to forget it.
Other than that, if you mean stopping the free flow of ideas in society or any setting of a group of people, I guess the quickest way would be to kill them all! Lol! No one can be just stopped like a snap at the fingers in a matter like this. If you tried to make me stop thinking freely I'd probably only want to think more freely and come up with a way to stop you. I guess it would be nearly impossible in society to stop free ideas. No one has control over someone else's mind and thoughts.
