I'm not advancing any silly conspiracy theories here, but I would be interested in hearing, especially from Bush supporters, why they think President Bush worked against the formation of a commission to investigate 9/11?

Because he was afraid that they would find out the TRUTH!

The word TRUTH can have different meanings (ex -- they let 9/11 happen and did nothing to stop it, or they were the ones who pulled it off.)

He wasn't. He was simply against it being presided over by the federal or legislative government. He was also against it being a partisan endeavor.
He wanted it to be as unbiased as possible.
