From the Old Movie of the same name.A Roman Biblical Picture of the 50s what does the words mean.I know what Quid Pro Quo means ,like for like,but what does Quo Vadis means Please.

Latin for Where are you going. In the Aprocpial Acts of Peter, St Peter is fleeing Rome as the Christians are lead to the Lions he meets Jesus on the road. Jesus is heading towards Rome and Peter asks "Quo Vadis?" The reply from Christ "To Rome to die in your stead" Peter realizes he must return to Rome and die with his flock, he goes back and is crucifed, upside down at his request so that he does not die in the same manner as hte Lord for he feels he is not worthy

Quo vadis is a Latin phrase meaning "Whither goest thou?" or "Where are you going?" It is used as a proverbial phrase from the Bible (John 16:5). The most famous use is in the Apocryphal Acts of Peter.
