A shocking number of totally wrong answers on this one.
People, if your just guessing then don't pst. The wrong amount of oil could cause serious damage.
The first post was correct; 6.0 quarts when you change the filter too.
My shop does about 2-dozen Jeep oil changes per week on average so I think I can say with certainty I know what I'm talking about here.

a grand Cherokee is considered a light truck so is Durango and Dakota pick up all have just about the same frame I have had and worked on many grand Cherokees with lt tires and never had a problem but if it is an aggressive mud tread will not ride like a Lincoln but should not shake or pull sounds like someone is pulling your leg instead

add 5 qts start the engine l;et it run for 15 secs then turn it off and check the oil add some if you need too
