I dont get what a beater looks like!! you know, what you wear?? Can someone explain it to me and send me a picture?

It's a men's sleeveless t-shirt, kind of like a tank top. My son said they're called (wife) beaters because you always see some low class man in a t beating his wife in the movies. Now they call the girls' style a boy beater. For an article & pictures, hit the link below:

A beater is an A shirt, It is a tank top shirt, it's nickname is a, "wife beater" beacuse everytime you watch the TV show Cops someone is wearing one and they just got arrested for beating their wife.
