This quote was used in the film Shaun of the Dead, so I don't wan't to know that, but the original source of the quotation. Did a websearch and didn't get anything useful.

It seems to be listed a lot of places as unsourced, but is it quoted in any books? I'd like to quote it as a reference, and thought it may at least have been mentioned in (printed) writing by someone else as a Bertrand Russell quote.

Hi Sister A,

Yes, this quote seems to be unsourced. He has lots of other good quotes about cooperation and other things as well. Check this out:

I had to watch Shaun of the Dead for the second time to really get all the deeper stuff in it. The first time I was just concentrating on how ugly the zombies looked. Good quote!
