I don't know where I remember this but I swear I heard someone say men have one extra bone. What is this bone? and why do we have it?

When God created Adam. He was In need of companionship.
so GOD created EVE> and then the Bible says.
GOD made Adam fall into a deep sleep and ttok one of his ribs and made WOMAN>>>>

Old wive's tale used to say women had an extra rib, and men had one less because it was taken by God to create the woman Eve. It is just that, an old tale. All adults have 206 bones in the body, more or less depending on how many vertebrae in the tail end fuse. You tell the difference betweeen male and female skeletons by looking at the pelvis, not by counting numbers.

The Bible folks are sooo funny! Good grief folks, medical science has PROVEN this to be false. 206 bones, give or take some fusable ones depending on age and individuals.

Are you sure it wasn't the other way around - The bible says God took a rib from Adam to create Eve. I still hear this quoted as a medical fact - it isn't
