I have some Euros that I wanted to get rid of- is there anywhere besides the Airport where I can exchange?

I came back from Europe recently and I was able to exchange them at Bank of America (I am a customer) They didn't charge me anything extra and the exchange rate is better then at the Airport.

The information about depositing foreign money into your bank account here in the USA may be incorrect. You may not be able to deposit them into your local bank -- I am a bank teller in a small town bank, and we would not be able to accept Euro dollars --we cannot even accept Canadian money. Maybe in a big city metropolis, but you will probably have to take them to an international airport. I had Canadian money left over from a trip a couple years ago and I had to find someone who was going to Canada to take the money and exchange it for me!

Most larger banks will exchange it for you. You may have to go to a main office to have it done.

American Express offices with a financial service department can do this for you.
