I'm realizing that I've gotten stuck on one artist I really like, and only buy her books, not because I don't like any others but because I'm not sure who else has a book that can instruct (and not just a book that you enjoy looking at the pictures in without being able to draw any better afterwards.)

David Macaulay has some great books that talk about how he composed the drawings for his other books, i.e. "Building the book Cathedral". I was interested to look at his process in composition and technique.
