Really it depends on how well the horse is taken care of. The average horse in the wild lives maybe up to 20 years old, but the average domestic horse ranges from maybe 30 up to 40 years old anymore, with the modern day medicine. I have a 27 year old horse that we still ride and he still loves to run like the wind. Like dogs, usually the smaller the breed of the horse, the longer it will live.

It depends on the breed and how it's taken care of and used. Seabiscuit died at the age of 14. An article I read last year said the oldest known living horse is a 1/4 Arabian and 3/4 Welsh Pony in England that is 53.

Horses useally live to the age of 30. But, once I had a friend that had a horse that lived to the age of 40. But, really it depends on how healthy the horse is.

Do you mean horse? If so, they can live well into their 30s with proper care. Most are able to be ridden well into their 20s.
