I heard the same thing... that an orgasm opens the cervix and when you "contract" with the orgasm it pulls the sperm up. I heard it by a sex doctor on tv while I was asking questions about conceiving... I orgasmed each time with my husband and it took one week of trying and I missed my next period. Good luck!

My three children were conceived right on the first try. I learned that in the ovulation period (11 days that egg is released and makes its voyage) prior to period, there are a couple of days where the vaginal mucous is very thin - this propels the sperm in a turbo-charged swim to find the egg, and even the weaker sperm get a fighting chance). Personally, I think that having an orgasm would drown the poor fellas. Oh yes, they say that once you get your deposit, keep your butt elevated on a pillow for 20-30 mins to aid the process.

It does make your cervix contract every time you orgasm and it is good for sperm, but I orgasm almost every single time we have sex and I have been trying for almost two years. I think the only way it would really matter is if you orgasmed at the same time. But it does boost moral and makes sex way more fun which would probably help you have a baby too. Good luck!!
