The coaches poll automatically selects the champion of the "Championship game", so in your case Florida. The press polls can choose anyone and I wouldn't be surprised to see a number of votes come Boise State's way.

The Gators are one of the best teams in the nation - and I think they'll beat Ohio State. But even if they do, I don't know if they could beat Boise State if BSU turned in a Fiesta Bowl performance.
Boise State is the best TEAM in college football. Oklahoma may pay their coach more than the entire BSU football budget, have 14 more bowl games under their belts than BSU has years in NCAA 1A, have the toughest defense in all of college football and a running back sure to go in the first round of the NFL draft... But Boise State stopped them, rocked them, ran, passed and scored on them and just plain outfought, out-thought, outlasted, out-toughed and outscored OU.
In what may be the best college football game of all time, Boise State showed they could not only run with the big dogs... they can kicked them off the porch.
Boise State is ALREADY the National Champion. That doesn't mean the BCS won't be too stupid to recognize the fact. And it doesn't mean that (due to inadequacies of the BCS) they won't have to share with OSU (if they win). But for anyone who knows football (and that excludes a lot of so-called "experts" who didn't give BSU a chance) Boise State's Fiesta performance alone was enough. For those who don't think so - well, you were wrong the first time about Boise State. You'll probably be wrong again. Some dim bulbs are still saying Boise State, "isn't in the same class with..." [fill in the blank]. Those same people were saying "in the same class with Oklahoma" just a few days ago.
For you "stength of schedule" parrots, consider this: The "stronger" schools won't play Boise State. (They're AFRAID to.) Why should Florida play Boise State, when they can play it "safe" with such powerhouses as 2-9 Carolina or 4-8 UCF? Boise State invited Florida to play. Florida flinched and said, "no". Consider their position: Boise State has had the best win-loss record in NCAA football for the past 8 years. If Florida loses to them, they're out of the bowl picture - because nobody gives Boise State the respect they deserve. So the big dogs run scared from little BSU... and as Oklahoma proved, with good reason!
Scrap the BCS. Bring us a playoff system.
Go Broncos! And GO GATORS! (I'm an alum from both schools... what can I say?)

As a Nevada graduate, I don't think the WAC gets enough respect for being a pretty good conference. The big problem the WAC has is that it has some pretty good teams at the top (Boise State, Nevada, Hawaii, San Jose State) and the rest of the conference is horrible (Louisiana Tech, Utah State, Idaho, New Mexico State, and Fresno State had a very down year). The strength of schedule playing in the WAC would yield only a mediocre computer rating, which would almost certainly (and did) rule out a WAC team playing for the title (even an undefeated one like Boise this year). And while Boise beat some decent competition out-of-conference this year, pounding Oregon State at home, and winning at Wyoming and at Utah from the Mountain West, that's nowhere near the schedule you need to have if you want to play for a title.
Of course, the strength of schedule argument could also work against the Big Ten (which as you know actually has 11 teams). The Big Ten has three great teams (Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin), four mediocre teams (Iowa, Purdue, Penn State, Minnesota), and four bottom feeders (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan State, Northwestern). Getting to beat up on the Illinois', Northwestern's and Indiana's of the football world really isn't any different than getting to beat up on the Utah State's, New Mexico State's and Louisiana Tech's. But the perception is that since the first set of schools is in the Big Ten, even though they're the bottom feeders, they must be better, even if they're equally as horrible as the bottom feeders from the WAC.

When it comes down to it if Ohio state loses then THEY DIDN'T GET IT DONE. Boise State GOT IT DONE. Don't give me strength of schedule and weak opponent bs. They are 13-0. They should at the very least be co national champions if ohio state wins. The BCS could have avoided this by letting the 2 undefeated teams play each other.

I'm from Boise and all I have to say is that our boy's went out and did a heck of a job last night. That game was amazing. We get called the little dog and well we proved we can play with the big dog. Honestly, I think that Boise State has the potential of any team. Who cares about your ranking? All that matters is that the players have their hearts in the right place and can play a mean game.

They shouldn't be the National Champions because they aren't playing in the National Championship Game but that doesn't mean they aren't deserving. Just like Auburn and Utah a few years ago they ran the gauntlet and straight up got jipped. All coaches (besides about 8-12) should just tell their teams before the season that no matter how good they play they have no chance to win it all.. B.S.!!! I don't know what the resolve is but I do believe the bowl system as it crowns the national champion is the single worst part of American sports. But to answer your question... NO... (GO BUCKEYES!!!)

I would think not, although they looked good in beating the Sooners last night. One game, almost any team can beat you. It would not be fair to Florida, who played a much tougher schedule this year and every year. Let's say Notre Dame played Boise State's schedule and they could,no one could beat them in a Bowl because they would be less beat-up, due to weak competition. Plus Florida would have beaten the number one team. Boise State cannot gain from Florida's good play.

no, florida will be the champion cause they played a better schedule. that is why the bcs should have a playoff system that way the "little guys" like boise can have a chance, but till that happens, the only champion will be the one that wins the championship game

No, they shouldn't. Florida will win the title if they beat OSU.
13-0 in the WAC is the equivalent of going about 9-4 in a BCS conference.
