On a velcro strap there is little tiny loops on one side, and little hooks on the other. When you put them sides together, the hooks get stuck on the loops, and then when you pull them sides apart, the hooks get pulled out from the loops. There is no buttons. Velcro was inspired by a plant that sticks to clothes because it (the plant) has little hooks on it. Sorry, i forget the plants name.

One side would be hooks, the other a woven pad. The hooks attach to the woven pad to provide the connection. A strap would fold back upon itself to proved the velcro connection.

If there is a loop on the other side, put one end of the velco through loop and over the top and fasten to itself...velcro is made out of a loops- one piece is loopy and the other is smooth somewhat/when placed one on top of the other they hook together and peel apart time and again.

One side of the strap has hooks, the other side of the strap has curved hooks. You put the curved hooks into the hooks of the other strap.

With common sense. I know it may seem a little crazy to you, but it's quite elementary.
