I know about ebay, and they're good, I just want to see if there are any other places (online, or otherwise) that I'm missing out on. I feel like it's pointless to buy a book new, when I can get it in good condition cheaper somewhere else...unless a store selling them new is just having a really good sale.

Another good source are used book stores or book exchanges. I also like to cruise college or university book stores for used books. They will have the best. Don/t know where you live but check your neighborhood for the used book stores etc. I have also picked up some great books at stores that deal with collectibles. Have found some great buys. Our public library sells used magazines for .25 and i have often picked up beautiful magazines for literally pennies on the dollar.

Amazon.com offers used books for a discounted price. I'd try there.

sometimes libraries sell their old books, usually as fundraisers. you could find some really great books for a few dollars.
