Disconnect the Fuel line from the Fuel Pump! Have Soneone try and start the car, for Just a second or three! IF gas flows out of the pump then IT IS NOT THE PUMP!

Perhaps you should buy a Clinton Auto Manual for your particular vehicle, usually less than $20.00. It will show you many other things also!

Thanks, RR

Sounds like a fuel pump relay, which is located in a relay and fuse box under the hood of the vehicle. Your owner's manual will tell you which relay. My parents used to have a ford explorer that would do the same thing and blow a relay about once a week, and finally we found out that the fuel pump was bad. what was happening was the fuel pump was drawing too much power and blowing the relay.

You say it has No Spark That would only be caused by a fault in the ignition system ( Coil, ignition module, distributor etc.) A bad fuel pump or fuel pump relay will not cause you to have no spark This type of problem can (No Spark) can only be related to the ignition system

you said no spark, check the coil or distributors and associated connections first. You check the operation of the fuel pump by making sure your surroundings are relatively quiet and turn the ignition key on, listen for the sound of the pump to come on briefly and if not, there is no power to it. If so, it's working fine. This applies only to an Electric fuel pump. I would imagine yours is so equipped.

How you know it has no spark ?? If that is so you don't need to look at fuel pump. As mentioned above, you can hear the fuel pump running when key is turned on.

replace place the fuel pump relay and the fuse for the fuel pump
and then take a gas line off and see if any gas is in the line
