Hey Nellie, open one on the EASTSIDE of Detroit if you do go through with the franchise plan.

Hmm, they'd definitely do well to open many in Michigan, but I know that a lot of city governments control what restaurants can move in. The neighborhood I used to live in on the eastside had the darndest time getting a Wendy's in, and a lot if it had to do with the people in the area already being obese and having too many other fast food options. They eventually opened, of course.
I think that Sonic is brilliant to advertise in the fattest state when they don't have to, because people think the food looks good and will DRIVE for it. Just my take.

No there is no Sonic in Michigan. Yes i does suck watching those comericals. And yes their food is really that good. I thought of buying a franchise to putting one here. I think it would do great!

No, but if they are going to keep showing the commercials, they should put one here. They would do good business in Michigan.

the closest to michigan from the detroit metro area is in fort Wayne, Indiana. Its about 117 miles.

LOL.....I live in Grand Rapids and I just looked this question up online about 3 weeks ago...I got sick of watching the commercials cause the food looks so good but there is only one in Michigan and it is in the Detroit area..

I don't know about Sonic, but I do know you don't have Jack in the Box, Carls Jr, or Whataburger.

I don't know if there is one in michigan but I do know there is not one in Washington but we still have the commercials urrgh!!!

No there isn't, and I still have no idea why they keep showing the commericals on televison. I wish that there was one though.

We have two in Grand Rapids. One on 28th street, and one on Alpine.
