My friend drives and i dont and she has a vauxhall astra, by the time we're in the front and her 10 month old and 4 year old are in the back in a baby seat and booster seat there is only enough space left for another booster seat. Is it legal for my son to go in this?

Her 4 year old is in a booster seat and both of the others are in the next size up from an infant carrier but before a booster, it was just query because we can't all go out and about together because the car seats don't all fit

Don't risk it. Booster seats are intended for children 40+ lbs, and then there is the height factor, too. What kind of seat is her 4 year old in? Just wondering because you said the 10 mo and 4yo are in baby seats, but your 19 mo (barely year and a half!) is in a booster seat. I'm hoping you mean the 4 yo is also in a booster seat, because if she's in a convertible seat and your child is in a booster, that should really be switched.

no its not legal your baby is way too small for a booster seat. a convertible seat is the same size at the base as a booster. read the height age and weight requirements on the side of the seat. your child could be thrown right out of this type of seat just by her hitting the brakes to hard. your baby needs to be restrained in a five point harness til at least age 3

For a requirement, you need to have a protection for your baby when travelling. As early as 4-6 moth old, you can put your baby in a baby booster. The usefulness of a baby booster varies greatly with the age, size and weight of the baby. SIT N SEE STADIUM BOOSTER SEAT is one of the good samples of it.

ABSOLUTLY NOT! At that age your son should be secured in a seat by a 5 point harness. The way the seatbelt is positioned in a booster seat could seriously injure your son if you were ever in an accident!

no ur child needs a front facing car seat that has cushioning at the sides u can buy them in argos for around 20-30 pounds i would recommend halfords though as they will explain how 2 fit it properly which is vital if (touch wood) there is an accident. half of alll deaths r due 2 car seats either being wrong or not fitted properly :)

No, it's not. A child needs to be 4 years old and weigh 40 pounds before a booster seat is efficient.

Do what you need to to keep your child safe.

it depends on your childs weight and age... look at the manufacturers suggestions for wight on the booster sdeat. Its usually when the baby is too big for a baby infant seat. At 19 Months it may be about time to move up to the booster anyway

It is not legal at that age. You have to take into consideration height as well now. Go to Mothercare or log on to local government website and check out seatbelt laws. They have now changed!!!!!!!

No, not unless you your child is over 40lbs. If caught w/him in a booster, you risk his life and a serious ticket.
