i am 3 cm dialated and cervix very ripe and ready as of today at 2pm!!!!! the exam was not that long it was pretty fast and only hurt that moment. i have not really felt any pain pain yet but the baby is very very active now.... what else can i do to bring on things faster. please respond! Thanks!!

I have 2 friends who gave birth the day they had their membrane stripped. But I was wondering the same thing! I'm going tomorrow to the OB - I'm 40 weeks and totally ready!! I sure hope it works for both our sakes!

I have heard from a few people that gravity works wonders. Try to squat on the floor. The pressure of the baby's head against the cervix may help to dilate. Also, have sex. The sperm is a natural muscle relaxer, and may do the trick. Good luck

kinda worked...had it done one day with nothing happening..went back to docs the next day and he stripped again and sent me to the hosp for a nst and when they checked me i was leaking a little,so not sure if the stripping actually did anything ot all the walking i did the day before got stuff going

For myself, no it never worked. What I did was I walked a lot especially when I had minor contractions. Since you are already 3cm, which is great, I would do a lot of walking. Good luck!

I had that done at 2 p.m. and my son was born at 11:15p.m. the same day he was 9lb. 1 oz. and only two days early!
