Whats your first thought when you hear this name?
Please be honest, the name is Samatha Lou. Sammie Lou for short. Alot of people have said bad things about it. Also, do you like it or hate it?

My first thought was ummm.l. but on further thought Sammie Lou is adorable for a little girl, when she gets older maybe drop the Sammie part. I love the name Samantha, but not so much Lou. Sorry. I like the name overall.

Personally, I would just take out the "Lou"... I personally prefer Samantha alone.

I'm not a fan of Samantha Lou... it doesn't flow off the tongue.
Sammie Lou does though.
All that matters is what you think and like. It's your baby. Does that name make you happy? If it does then thats all that matters!
To be honest... it kind of reminds me of The Grinch. Sammie Lou Who... You know? My opinion. But like I said what you think is all that matters.
I like the name Samantha Rose... Rose or Rosie for a nickname?

My first thought is a girl from my school, but I guess if I did not know anyone named Samantha then my initial thought would be a little blonde headed girl from the country. I don't hate the name, but its not one of my favs. i dont really even like the first name. Samantha Lou sounds like a nickname personally. Good Luck & go with your heart!! :)

It sounds kinda silly. (that was my first thought) It kinda made me think of a name for a puppy too. Cause i can picture someone actually naming their puppy that. The lou part is too cutesy. but isn't cute. know what i mean? how about Samantha Lee or Leigh..

Samantha Louise. and if you wanna call her sammie lou you can still do that but it will just be a nickname not her actual name. That'd be a better alternative.

Samantha Lou? No. Just no. Sounds like you wished you had given birth to a boy, so you took a girl's name and combined it with a boy's.
I like Samantha Louise, Samantha Rose, Samantha Gabrielle, Samantha Helene....but not Samantha Lou. Sounds like she should have a piece of hay sticking out of her teeth.
And I have to disagree with those who say "it's your baby, name her whatever you want." It's your baby right now, but someday that baby will grow up and need a beautiful, elegant grown up name. I'd never hire Sammy Lou, Esquire or Sammy Lou, MD.

The first thing I thought of was a girl with braided pigtails and missing her two front teeth....lol I don't know why....Its just the Lou thing. It makes me think of a little cute farmer girl.
Is that the first name or first and middle? I would have Samantha as the first and Louise as the middle. I like it and you could still call her Sammie Lou. Then as an adult she could have a more mature name (Samantha Louise). Go with whatever feels right!

Sorry, no I don't care for it.
My nickname LindaLou is a nickname given to me years ago by friends and has morphed into everything from Louie, to Lola, to Lulu. It's cute, but can get annoying. I have a friend whose real name is Sara-Lou and she hates it. It's a bit of a problem for her working in the business world and to get people to take her seriously.
